Spaces

The space bar is found on the mission control window which has a thumbnail of all of the desktop spaces and any window that has a split-screen. To add some more space, move the pointer to the space bar and choose the plus button on the right side of the screen

To toggle between these spaces, you can select the thumbnails

You can also move some of the windows to the spaces when you have more than windows. Just take a window and drag it to another space. If you put them in an open area then the window will be seen in full screen in a distinct new space

To remove the spaces you will need to hold the option key and then select the x sign and any window within that space will be deleted
